Case I- NIT, IIIT, DTU and CFTI and State colleges
The merit of NIT, IIIT’s, DTU and CFTI students will be decided on the basis of the JEE Mains 2013 exam. It is important for the students to know the eligibility criteria of IIT and other colleges.
For the NIT, IIIT’s, DTU and CFTI, the 40 percent weightage is for the class 12th exams and 60 percent weightage is for JEE mains 2013 exam. If you got less score in class 12th then you have chance in JEE mains 2013 exam.
If you think that you got fewer score in class 12th then you can appear for the improvement exam in 2013 either through NIOS, state boards or through CBSE board.
Case II- IIT colleges
In order to be eligible for the IIT-JEE 2013 exams, you must be among the top 20 percent students of your state board.
The 2011, 2012 and 2013 students can appear in AIEEE( JEE mains) 2013 exam which is important for IIT-JEE students in sense that 1.5 lakh students will be selected for the IIT-JEE (JEE advanced) exam, followed the condition that student must be among top 20 percent.

For CBSE, you have to appear in 5 subjects. The improvement exam is helpful for JEE mains 2013(AIEEE) because 40 percent weightage is for the class 12th.

Paper 1 is for all undergraduate courses including BTech.
Paper 1 syllabus includes Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and held in Pen and Paper based OR Computer based
While on the other hand, Paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.Planning and syllabus includes Mathematics – Part I, Aptitude Test – Part II & Drawing Test – Part III and held in Pen and Paper based only.
If you want to appear in Paper 1 then it is for B.tech, Paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.planning. Now, decision is all yours.

Wait atleast festivals get over. Try again after the festivals. The last date to apply for JEE mains 2013 exams is 15th December 2012.
After festivals, if you cannot get the response then apply again by leaving a mail to them. You can also made a call on the toll free number- 18001803456 for confirmation.

It does not affect IIT-JEE (JEE advanced) 2013 selection. Both exams are separate. It does not affect your score.

So, it's better if you contact them through toll free number and insist to make some changes in your database by their own.

In Jee (Main) - 2013 online application form, there is a 11th option
in the section "Personal Details", i.e "Is only child of your parents
(in case of Female) ?". Due to some misunderstanding i have checked
